Hey guys!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! ❤️ I hope you all had a lovely holiday!
First of all: I am so sorry you haven't heard from me! I am fully self employed and my only source of income is anything and everything publishing related. I do book design work for other authors, cover design, and general graphic design for small businesses. Here's the thing: this Kickstarter was very challenging (they all are, but this one...phew!) and it took every ounce of my time and energy in between kids getting sick, broken legs, and a million other things that popped up during the campaign. I just got very behind on all my normal work... the work that pays my bills and allows me to buy groceries, etc.
Immediately after the campaign ended, my boyfriend Dean got a new job. Since he moved here in June last year, he was our "nanny" because it made the most sense from a financially and logistically. But he got a job with a lot of growth potential and it meant a major shift in our day-to-day life. He's now working overnights (which is AWFUL) and the kids and all the normal household chores he would help with are now completely on me... as well as my already-too-full design schedule + being a month, or more, behind on it all.
In the past three weeks alone my 8 year old has gone into DKA twice (he's a Type 1 Diabetic), every child of mine has had the stomach bug TWICE... one round BEFORE I had to go to Maryland to be with my mom who had to have two emergency spinal fusions back-to-back (I was there Dec 16-23), then Christmas with family in town... and a second round of the stomach bug is now circulating, 3 out of 5 kids have gotten it so far. Plus I've had three clients who needed their book designs finalized in order to get them off to the printer so they can ship before Chinese New Year, which has been my priority outside of all of the above.
All of that to say: life has been hard and fast. I'm so sorry, again, that you haven't heard from me...but these are the reasons. Thank you so much for your patience. I just haven't had the capacity to take the next steps towards Kickstarter reward fulfillment until now.
So, here's what's going to happen in the next few days and weeks:
- Expect to receive a Kickstarter survey from me in the next day or two. I NEED YOU TO FILL THIS OUT PLEASE! :) This "survey" collects all the information I need in order to ship you the books you ordered or to fulfill any other 'reward' you purchased through my campaign. Without this, I don't have your shipping address, nor do I know which books you want me to ship you.
- At the same time, I'll announce my webinar schedule for the next 3+ months or so. This way, if you purchased webinars via my Kickstarter (or didn't and still want to take advantage of discounted admission) you can redeem or add-on those rewards.
- BOOKS ARE IN ROUTE FROM CHINA! Everything has been printed and the printer has turned the shipment over to my shipping company. They will set sail on January 6th and the current ETA to Denver is FEBRUARY 10th.
**Please note: this is an estimated delivery date for books to arrive to ME. It could arrive a few days earlier or a few weeks later. It's really that unpredictable. - Once I receive the shipment I will get everything out in a day or two, just like I have the last two Kickstarters. So, with good luck and smooth sailing, I think you should have your books in hand around mid-February. 😊
- This will forever be my last Kickstarter. I will also have the add-on option when you're finalizing your survey to add on a lifetime subscription... which mean that forever and always you will receive a signed copy of every book I release in the future. This option will not be available at any other time...ever.😊
(Ben Fisher, if you're seeing this I'm actively working on your book...almost done! 😊)
Thank you all again, SO MUCH, for your love and support...and your patience with me as I've tried to catch up / keep up with life and work.
Love you all and I hope 2025 is healthy and happy. ❤️
Respectfully,
Katie Weaver
